Arthur Wesley Dow (1857-1922) Color Metal Relief “Willows in Bloom” c1902. An “Ipswich Print” not appearing in any of the 3 sets (hence the edition may very well have been much smaller than the usual edition of c. 800). These prints were printed by hand on a foot-powered press. *Intended as teaching aids, many did not survive the years. Same composition as “Willows in the Meadow,” but with different coloration giving evidence that Dow varied the colors in his Ipswich prints as well as his woodblock prints. This has spurious chop mark and estate stamps that are not visible as matted. Unsigned. Excellent condition.
