13496. Jessie Willard (1876 – 1937) Chinatown Genre Painting of Girl c1910s. Signed. Excellent condition. Willard was born in California in August 1876. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago under Vanderpoel. While a resident of Oakland in 1900-13, she was a teacher at the California College of Arts & Crafts. About 1918 she married Washington S. Goodrich and appears to have stopped painting. She died in San Francisco on Dec. 30, 1937.
