18964. Henry L. Fry – Cincinnati Aesthetic Movement Carved Oak Sideboard 1878.  Signed.  Excellent original finish.  From the Estate of Mary Louise McLoughlin: American ceramic painter and studio potter from Cincinnati, Ohio, and the main local competitor of Maria Longworth Nichols Storer, who founded Rookwood Pottery. Like Storer, McLaughlin was one of the originators of the art pottery movement that swept the United States.  McLaughlin made the acid-etched copper panels in 1894 and inset them herself. An incredibly important piece of early American Arts & Crafts Aesthetic Movement.   46.5″w (50″w with tenons) x 60.5″h x 23.5″d SOLD
