John Sidney Burton (1878-1934) Hammered Copper & Silver Box East Aurora, NY c1914-1915.  Burton was a member of the Boston Society of Arts & Crafts.  In 1913 he lived in  Glens Falls and then moved to East Aurora, NY in 1914 and 1915 and then to Cleveland and worked with Potter Studio.  This is an early, important piece by a little known artist that was working alongside and among Roycrofters during their formative years.
