6166. Early Harry Dixon – Lillian Palmer hammered copper bookends using James Earl Fraser’s design “End of the Trail”. In 1915 Fraser exhibited this image at the San Francisco Panama Pacific International Exposition. It was one of the most iconic images from that show. Dixon copied the design either during the exhibit or shortly afterwards while working at Lillian Palmer. He did not sign pieces during this period.
