Ferock Pottery Frank Ferrell Cutout Matte Green Vase c1908-1911. Unsigned. Perfect condition. 7.25"h x 5"d Born in Zanesville, Ohio, Ferrell began his career at Weller Pottery around 1894 at age 16. He worked under Carl Kappas and gained recognition for his underslip decorations. He left Weller in 1905 after Sam Weller rejected his interest in more sculptural forms and briefly worked as a decorator at J.B. Owens. Ferock Studios (also called Ferock Pottery) was a short-lived partnership between Ferrell and Maude Sibyl Pollock in Zanesville.
