Chauncey R. Thomas vase with mustard drip glaze dated 1906, Alfred, NY.  Thomas made this under the direction of Charles Binns and shows the influence of Binns upon the later glazes of California Faience and California Porcelain.  Thomas started California Faience (The Tile Shop) in Berkeley in 1913.  Invisible professional restoration to small rim chip, otherwise perfect condition.
