Although unsigned, this specific black glaze and red clay are specific to California Faience. During the Great Depression of the 1930s, California Faience rented out the use of their studio to many local Bay Area artists including Beniamino Bufano, Sorcha Boru, Adele Stimmel Chase, Hermione Palmer and Kay Kinney.
