4995. Dirk van Erp six-panel hammered copper & mica lamp c1920 from the collection of Robert Judson Clark. In 1972, Professor Clark of Princeton University published the seminal book The Arts & Crafts Movement in America 1876-1916. Discovered in 1955, this was the first van Erp lamp he ever saw. The owner was so taken by Mr Clarks passion, she gave this lamp to him. Exhibited Dirk van Erp 2014, page 62, figure 94. Signed with open-box, San Francisco mark.
