2246. Extremely rare and unusual Dirk van Erp hammered copper and shell two-socket lamp c1909-1910. Unsigned. Excellent original patina. Dirk van Erp exhibited in Seattle at the Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition in 1909 and was most likely influenced by the work of Santa Barbara artist Elizabeth Eaton Burton’s work with shells in hammered copper lamps.
