Barcelona Mermaid Enamel Plaque 1951. Signed. Inscribed “El Ayuntamiento de Barcelona Al Vicealmirante de la U.S.S.A. John Jennings Ballentine”. Translates to “Barcelona City Council To the Vice Admiral of the U.S.A. John Jennings Ballentine.” Appears to be much older than 1951. The 1951 date may have been the year this enamel plaque was presented to Ballentine. Excellent condition. Enamel 5″h x 7″w. Box 11.5″w x 9 5/8″ x 4.25″h. $1890
