Large early Gustav Stickley from his early period probably made about 1901 or 1902 with champhered board sides and back and tenon & key construction. This is just about as good as it gets for a Gustav Stickley desk. The desk has not been refinished, but it does appear to have been rubbed out, as the area around the hardware appears darker than the rest of the desk. The hardware does not appear to ever have been removed. The condition of the desk is fantastic. The wood is crisp with very little wear. There are some very minor scratches in the top, but being as old as it is, this desk in in remarkable shape. Full bevel on all four feet. Signed with large 3" red decal. Measures 54" wide by 30" deep and 29.75" high. 56" wide includes tennons. This piece weighs about 350 lbs. $9500
